Finalists of the first amateur photography contest, “Prospector. Miner. Metallurgist” organised by MINEX Central Asia 2012 Mining and Mineral Exploration Forum and Editors of the “Mining & Metals Industry” magazine in Kazakhstan

According to the results of the qualifying round, the jury selected eight finalists who will participate in the final qualifying competition for the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. When evaluating the photos submitted for the competition the jury took into consideration the quality, technical, presentation and originality criteria.

Finalists will take part in the Gala Dinner of the Mining and Mineral Exploration Forum MINEX Central Asia 2012, which will be held on 18 April at the Sary Arka 4 Hall at Radisson in Astana. During the Dinner, in a solemn ceremony, the Jury will name the Bronze, Silver and Gold winners who will receive Award certificates and valuable prizes.

Under the terms, the works of the finalists will be published throughout the year in the “Mining & Metals Industry” magazine– the contest co-founder in Kazakhstan. The finalist’s works will also be presented at the MINEX Russia Mining and Mineral Exploration Forum in Moscow on 2-4 October 2012 October.
